Mikala has been teaching Yoga since 2014 where she trained in Vinyasa Yoga with Being Yoga from the Sunshine Coast.
Further study led Mikala to India where she trained at Kaivalyadama Ashram and Yoga University and learnt traditional Yogic practices including Asana, Pranayama, Kriya and Yogic philosophy.
Ongoing training and learning includes; Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Women’s Yoga/Womb Yoga and Core Strength Vinyasa.
Over the last 8 years Mikala has taught classes, workshops, retreats and run a small Yoga studio in her home town of Yeppoon.
In 2017 and 2019 Mikala led a Yoga Retreat in Northern India with her friend and mentor Jyoti Anand, taking two groups of Australian women to experience Yoga and its deep roots in India.
Mikala faciliates Yoga classes and workshops focusing on self-care, nervous system regulation and Women’s Wellbeing through Inner Journeys with Mikala.
